Hello, Neighbors!

We hope interested parties can attend. This is a growing group of people supporting preservation efforts in West Ashley. There is an impressive list of speakers on the panel, including our OWNA President, Ron Sassard.
Old Windermere has been on a multi-year journey to implement Character Protections for our neighborhood. Implementation of this seeks to strike the appropriate balance between those who want to ensure future development is consistent with existing style, scale, quality, etc while protecting property owners’ rights.
While we have not reached the end of our journey, Old Windermere is the first to act. Other neighborhoods are interested in the approach we have taken.
Note: This is not an OWNA meeting and this is not the meeting with the city regarding the upcoming Character Protection efforts that the city had us do a survey on a while back – we will keep you updated on that front.)
