*Update* 5/7/24 5PM: the crews are still hard at work digging holes, pulling cable – some of you are going to notice a concrete box in the ROW of your yard – a “box” and a “lid” – I went out and verified with Keith (bright blue Bronco – he oversees the project – all questions are directed to him, he is an independent and does not work for the engineering company) that these boxes would be buried (YES!!) – these boxes are strong and are able to be driven over. I don’t know their timeline, I know they get here early and leave around 7PM. If you happen to see a box that is not yet buried, they’ll be back tomorrow. They don’t usually leave anything unfinished, so hopefully that will ease your concerns/answer your questions.

WHAT: Communication Work using missile boring (which can be loud – but this is least impactful to our trees). 

WHEN: Beginning today, Wednesday, May 1, 2024 until they’re done. (Approximately: “a few days”)

WHERE: Stocker Drive from Savannah Hwy to Wesley Dr. on the on the side of the street with electric lines with even number addresses that backs up to Savannah Hwy.

NOTE: City of Charleston Urban Forestry (David Grant) has been involved and came out to review their plan prior to beginning. They do not have to give us notice – one of us noticed them and their orange cable yesterday and inquired.
